Not Sure That Rising Interest Rates Will Let Your Home Sell for Top Dollar? #sherriecholsrealtor

You’re afraid to list your home after hearing all the reports about home sales slowing and you’re not sure that rising interest rates will let your home sell for top dollar.

I’m here to tell you, you are probably in a better position to sell your home than you think. Hi, I’m Sherri Echols, Broker Associate with RE/MAX Bryan – College Station.

According to the National Association of Realtors, in the second quarter of 2022 the median single-family existing-home price had climbed 14.2% annually.

The days on market locally are shorter than a year ago, and your home is still likely worth far more than you bought it for.
We are still seeing increase in the value of homes just like yours, and sale prices are reflecting that.

Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist says, “Declines in purchase demand continue to diminish while supply remains fairly tight across most markets. The consequence is that house prices likely will continue to rise, but at a slower pace for the rest of the summer.”

Don’t let headlines get in the way of you selling your home, I’m here to help you understand what’s happening in the market so you can make the best decision for you and your family, call me and let’s make a plan for you. I’m your Community Market Leader Sherri Echols, a helping hand for a happy home.
