People moving to Bryan – College Station often ask about the school districts between the two cities. Both have some really great programs! Hi, I’m Sherri Echols, Broker Associate with RE/MAX Bryan – College Station. I asked the School District Superintendents for some highlights to share with you and here is what they had to say!
Mike Martindale, Superintendent of the College Station ISD shared this: “Ranked the 16th best district in Texas by Niche.com, College Station ISD has a long history of success as the premier school district in the Brazos Valley. CSISD boasts an unheard-of 238 National Merit Semifinalists over the last 19 years and is highly-regarded academically with average SAT and ACT scores well above the state and regional average. Students in CSISD compete – and win – at the state and national level in extra-curricular activities in academics, athletics, fine arts, and in career and technical education contests. CSISD is a Texas Art Education Association District of Distinction and was named a National Association of Music Merchants Best Communities for Music Education. College Station ISD has grown in enrollment by 40% since 2004 and now has 19 campuses, including 10 elementary schools, 3 intermediate schools, 3 middle schools, 2 comprehensive high schools and one choice high school.”
And from the interim Superintendent of Bryan ISD, Ginger Carrabine, Bryan ISD offers more choices, more opportunity for their students. From nationally recognized Science, Technology, Engineering and Math or STEM programs, to nationally recognized Fine Arts, from groundbreaking Career & Technical Education, including one of 10 regional centers in Texas, offering professional certifications and dual college credit, and advanced academics including the highly prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and AP Capstone Diploma program, along with a wide range of athletics and open, bright elementary schools with certified teachers, a highly recognized, rigorous curriculum, a Dual English Spanish language program, and the gifted Explore Academy, Bryan ISD truly offers something for every student.
