The Campus Course at Texas A&M University, Phillips Event Center at Briarcrest, are public access. Then there are three private golf courses, Traditions, Miramont, and Pebble Creek. There is also Aggieland Driving Range to hone your skills, and right now Big Shots Aggieland is being built in Midtown Bryan! And we can’t forget about Oak Grove in Franklin and Pecan Lakes in Navasota.
Traditions Club is a private golf club and residential community originated by the City of Bryan. The Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus II design championship golf course is home to the Texas A&M Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams. One can purchase membership without living in the neighborhood. Miramont Country Club was born from the vision of a local, Donald A. Adam. This course is designed by Robert Trent Jones II and ranks #7 in the State of Texas. Membership to this club is by invitation only. Pebble Creek Country Club is another private club that can be joined even if you don’t live in the neighborhood. It is the only private golf club in College Station and members enjoy full amenities.
So we can safely say that a variety of golf courses could be considered a good thing when thinking about what’s so great about living in Bryan College Station. There are 5 courses right here in town! From community to exclusive, we have the whole range of golf clubs right here at our finger tips. This all tells me maybe I should give golf another try.
